My travels started earlier than I originally expected but it still does not get me home any sooner. I just stole some online time to drop a note and tell you why I have not been around lately. Give me a few more weeks to travel and settle in at home then I'll be back in business.

Francis Marion is not my given name but the name of the United State's first unconventional warrior. He is most remembered from a comment made by British Lieut. Col. Tarleton who said, "As for this damned 'Swamp Fox', the devil himself could not catch him." Francis Marion, or the Swamp Fox, successfully fought the British in South Carolina and was a significant contributor in their eventual defeat at Yorktown.
I have been a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier since 1988. I was involved in the initial "invasion" of Haiti, completed two tours in Afghanistan, a combat tour as an advisor in the Republic of the Philippines, and I am now working as a contractor in Iraq.
